We are excited to announce the official launch of our groundbreaking project, “Localizing Peace and Engaging the Victims: Towards Addressing the Challenges Posed by Hate Speech, Misinformation, and Disinformation in Tigrai, Ethiopia,” funded by Global Affairs Canada, Search for Common Ground, and Empathy for Life Integrated Development Association. At the intersection of technology and peacebuilding, this initiative will:
- Design and develop an innovative AI-driven model to combat hate speech, misinformation, and disinformation.
- Publish actionable insights for community campaigns
- Engage and empower victims and communities through tech-enabled peace solutions
- Promote a safer and more peaceful digital space.
Today’s inception workshop united diverse stakeholders, marking the beginning of this work to use innovation for social cohesion.
